Steam Showers - Installing Them in Your Home
Posted on September 12th, 2009 No commentsNowadays it is within the grasp of the average homeowner to install a steam shower in their bathroom. This form of relaxation is superior to any other which I know, and it deserves to be looked into here in this article. We will examine the pricing range which these steam showers come in, as well as some of the ins and outs of getting one.
Imagine coming home from work exhausted by the day. You have just about had it up to “here”. But then you remember that you’ve got a steam shower waiting for you upstairs. This is good news, isn’t it? It’s quite a dream if I do say so myself. To be able to step into my shower in my own bathroom, knowing that I will be able to let the steam penetrate my bad mood and wash it away, sounds good to me. Also most of the units have a stereo system in them so add relaxing music to the mix and it sounds just perfect. There are some models that even incorporate chromatherapy, (light therapy for those that are not familiar with it).
Companies such as Kohler and Ariel have put out several different makes and models, so that homeowners of differing financial abilities can get one of these installed. Will it cost you a few thousand bucks? You bet it will. But it will also add to the value of your home, and this should not be taken lightly. It can also probably be written off for tax purposes whenever you do eventually sell the house.
Basically how it works is that steam showers are incorporated into the bathroom design. This allows a seamless flow from sink to toilet to mirror to shower. The shower stalls will need to be installed by someone who is knowledgeable about this sort of thing. Most husbands, unfortunately, are probably not up to the task. There is a lot of technicality involved in installation, including sealing off the shower doors so that the steam can be trapped inside the shower. Of course, a steam generator also must be part of the mix.
The bottom line is that getting a steam shower into your home is not necessarily an easy job, but it will surely prove to be very rewarding. I have never spoken to anyone who regrets having had one installed. Instead people rave about how great it is. It really brings one of the best things about a good gym into the home, and that can’t be a bad thing, can it?
